Established in 1980, IEW has grown with its customers. With that growth has come increased expertise, capabilities, and state-of-the-art equipment. Indu Engineering Works got its beginning in 1980 as a manufacturer of machine components and equipment parts for a pharmaceutical company like Galson Ltd. In the early 2000s with the coming of the infrastructure projects for the development of Mumbai city grew, so did IEW, expanding their main areas of expertise into civil fabrication. As customers’ needs were met quickly, with an adherence to extreme quality, IEW was called upon by Gammon India Ltd to participate in manufacturing steel components for the 5 major flyover projects in Mumbai, India.

Again, as customers’ designs and product specification demands increased, IEW adapted to accommodate changing needs and enhanced its product profile, IEW added a submerged arc welding machine, more overhead cranes which are electrically operated up to 35 tons, and MIG machines. Today, this added technology allows IEW to furnish hundreds of customers with specialized fabrication products.

In 1980, IEW began to produce machine components and expanded even further into heavily contributing towards the development of our country’s infrastructure. IEW never looked back. Forty-plus years later, one can expect a great wealth of knowledge and experience in customized fabrication projects.
